Narong Thanapermpool from Thailand compares
notes with Jim Loehrlein of Iowa before we get started.

It's soon time to put on the clay tiles. Each must be handed
down the line and then up to the roof. Moving that mountain of tiles is no small task.
|

While some install tiles on one side, on the other battens are being
screwed down on the galvanized iron. The battens are angle-aluminum screwed down with self-tapping screws driven
with power drills. The temporary power to the houses had been knocked out by the storm, so charging stations were set
up at the other end of the site, and Ginger spent a lot of time shuttling batteries.
|

Installation of clay tiles on the back side of the roof.
|

Installation of tiles on the front -- our final task (except for
installing the kitchen counter and sink, taking down the scaffolding, returning tools, and generally sprucing up the place.)
|

The house is done, and we get ready for the dedication. In the next
couple of weeks, the outside walls will be plastered and the final plumbing will be installed. But for the JCWP, we declare
it complete.
