Habitat for Humanity Moçambique is a relatively new
program. They have pitched the program in a number of communities
in the country, and thus far, there is one affiliate off the
ground: Inhaca Island.
To become an affiliate, the local community must
organize much as we do in the U.S. Since land ownership does not
always follow our procedures, one of the challenges is to find land that
can be held privately.
Jerry and I received the warm hospitality of HfH
Moçambique and had a great visit.
