Trip to Southern Alps

This area includes a few pictures from Ken's trips to the Amundsen-Scott South Pole station in December, 2004 and in January, 2007.

The 2004 trip was a part of the development of a new version of the RICE (Radio-Ice-Cerenkov-Experiment) neutrino telescope funded by the National Science Foundation.

By 2007, the project had grown to become a multi-institutional project, a prelude to the Askar'yan Observatory.
